What District 9 Needs
Broward County District 9 consists of diverse communities and cities that have unique needs. District 9 includes the following cities: Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale Lakes, Lauderhill, North Lauderdale, Oakland Park, Plantation, Pompano Beach, Sunrise and Tamarac (see map below).
District 9 has the highest rates of unemployment, poverty, crime, illiteracy, and the greatest need for health care.
Though its communities and neighborhoods are diverse and have numerous issues, District 9 needs a dedicated leader who will keep his focus on improving the district bringing it on par with the rest of Broward County.
To greatly improve District 9 Dale will work to:
- Foster Economic Development and Increase Employment Opportunities
- Create a Business Development Council
- Expand Enterprise Zone into Lauderdale Lakes and Pompano Beach
- Improve the Aesthetic Appearance of District 9
- Increase Educational Opportunities and Technical Training
- Increase Literacy and Mentorship Programs
- Reduce Crime
- Increase Home Ownership
- Reduce Taxes and Eliminate Unnecessary County Spending
- Improve Relationship between County, Cities and State
- Collaborate with the Community to Enhance Quality of Life for all Residents
- Provide Resources and a Resource Guide to Seniors
