Commissioner Holness’ past record of accomplishment paves the way for his future goals in District 9. He believes that success builds on success and achievements realized in one city can be duplicated to compliment and enhance the unique needs and desires of other cities.
As a real estate agent and mortgage broker, Commissioner Holness will continue to use his expertise in the trade to create affordable housing and financing opportunities.
Holness is active in many civic organizations, including serving as President of the Sister City International; Vice Chair, Fort Lauderdale Broward County Enterprise Zone; Board Member, Lauderhill Chamber of Commerce; Life Member, NAACP; Board Member, 100 Black Men–Greater Fort Lauderdale Chapter; Board Member, Community Family Center; member of the Haitian American Leadership Org. and President, Royal Oaks Condominium Association.
Commissioner Holness’ District represents, by population ranking, parts of or all of Fort Lauderdale, Plantation, Sunrise, Lauderhill, Tamarac, Oakland Park, North Lauderdale, Lauderdale Lakes and the unincorporated communities of Roosevelt Gardens, Washington Park, Boulevard Gardens and Franklin Park.
As a business executive, real estate agent and mortgage broker, Commissioner Holness continues to use his expertise to identify and support affordable housing and financing opportunities.
